Rate Your Experience highlights the inherent tension between having an experience as an individual and the fending off an assault by an unseen collective who wants you to tell them about it. While the art itself asks the viewer 101 times what they think of it - of what their experience is in viewing it, in theory what the art is doing is gathering data from each individual viewer to create a collective opinion to influence future individual interpretations with the objective of attracting more viewers, hence creating greater value for itself. In doing this, the concept of data gathering and the creation of false value becomes both the medium and material of the artwork.
